Howdy Freelancers! It’s another Friday so I’m getting into the fashion community of Anthem once more to find the best-looking Javelins. This week I wanted to look at superhero Javelins, because I’ve been watching a lot of superhero movies recently. As always, if you would like your Javelin featured you can contact me through the following: email me on email@example.com, message me on Twitter @GuyAnthem or on Instagram @thatguywhoplaysanthem.
This Javelin, Weapon Xceptor, comes from Reddit user JetstreamSAM-I-M. I’ve seen this one bouncing around the community all week, and I think it’s possibly one of my favourite designs ever. What I love more than anything is that it’s based on the classic Wolverine costume, not anything that’s been done since.
These Gundam-inspired Javelins also come from JetstreamSAM-I-M. Apparently they were a fan request for someone else in the community, but they’ve gained a lot of popularity since being posted. I’ve never personally watched any Gundam, but I’ve only heard good things about it. I think this design might finally convince me to switch it on.
This design comes from Reddit user WabbitCZEN, but I don’t think it’s intentionally designed to look like the Ultimate Iron Man costume. However, it very much does to me. I love how the vinyl makes it look like some sort of super advanced suit, one with nanotechnology seeping through the armour. I could imagine those tendrils moving in real time as you run around killing aliens, and I honestly think it’s fantastic.
This image is something else JetstreamSAM-I-M shared, and it’s all of his various Iron Man designs. I can see so many different outfits in there, and I can’t quite believe that someone has done all of this. Really this is so impressive, I just wanted to showcase the work because I don’t think enough people see designs like this.
Now for something that isn’t from JestreamSAM-I-M, this Desloation Angel is from DragonSkinz on Reddit. I don’t know if a Desolation Angel counts as a superhero, but I’m counting it because it’s an interesting-looking character design that could appear in a smaller role in any superhero’s universe. Part of me thinks it could even just be an evil version of Angel from X-Men, but I’ll leave it open for you guys.
Okay, now we’re back to something from JetstreamSAM-I-M. I love Spider-Man, I think he’s my favourite superhero ever. The Iron Spider-Man costume is something Iv’e always been a bit apprehensive of because it blurs a lot of lines that I haven’t read about in the comics, however, I think we all need to appreciate this design just the same. If Bioware decide to create some new Armour Packs, I highly suggest they create something akin to Iron Spider-Man.
As if you hadn’t guessed it already, the final entry today is also from JetsreamSAM-I-M. I’ve never actually heard of this character, which is most of the reason I’m interested in them. It seems like they’re from a storyline I’ve never read, so I’m including this design for that reason as well. I love how I’ve discovered something new in something I thought I knew a lot about, through the medium of Anthem’s Javelin designs.
That’s all for this week. As I said at the start of the article, please do get in touch if you want your Javelins featured. I can add them as and when, but next week will be a different theme. Let me know what you think of all of these Javelins in the comments.
I was so excited about Anthem I had to start a blog on it!
