Howdy Freelancers! So with Week 4 of the Cataclysm being live we’ve now got ourselves six different events to complete prior to Vara, and the usual routes don’t allow enough time.
I’ve been playing a bit of the Cataclysm this week, and I keep finding myself running out of time before I get to kill Vara, or even reach Vara if I’m running with a few Freelancers who don’t know all of the strategies for events yet. This seems to be a common problem, because the good people over at Anthem Universe have created an awesome route guide for the Cataclysm in week 4. Check out the video below, and read on for more details.
The traditional tactic of completing Ring of Magnus and Britaheim first still stands. These are the two Events nearest the Cataclysm starting point, and you’d be mad to try to take anything else on first. However, this is where the old tactic no long applies.
Instead of moving to the next logical Event that you can fly to, you should instead take the teleporter below the water just outside of Britaheim, because it sends you right up to Crucible of Astrid. After Crucible of Astrid you then need to take the teleporter, again it’s nearby, to Casja’s Forge. I admit this order doesn’t feel intuitive, but it’s the best route out there right now.
From Casja’s Forge you then go to Diana’s Landing, and from there right now you move on to the boss, Vara. As of next week we’ll be going to the seventh new Event, called Sea of Takaro, which isn’t currently available. That Event is on the way to Vara, so it makes sense to do it in-between Diana’s Landing and fighting her.
I have to say a huge thank you to Anthem Universe for doing the incredible work they do. This video is superb and gets straight to the point of explaining just where you need to go, and what you should complete. I’d love for all of you Freelancers to take this on board because some of the Freelancers I’ve played with haven’t known where to go. Let’s help each other out and share this around as much as possible so we’re all super fast in the Cataclysm for the next few weeks.
Let me know what you think of Anthem Universe’s route in the comments.
