Howdy Vault Hunters! As of today the second week of the 10 year anniversary of Borderlands celebration has gone live in Borderlands 3. This week it’s all about hunting rare spawns.

Rare spawns are a type of creature that is named. They appear in random locations around Borderlands 3’s galaxy, but they also show up on Bounty Boards for those who fancy taking them on. These enemies award some pretty great look, but they’re so few and far between that they can’t be relied upon. Until now.

This week, from the 8th of October until the 15th, these spawns will be much less rare, and provide an easy way to pick up some decent loot. During this time some rare spawns are guaranteed to show up for you in their locations, and they’ve got a guaranteed chance of dropping Legendary loot.

This is every Vault Hunter’s chance to kill some enemies they’ve never heard of, challenge themselves, and get some Legendary loot that they’ve been after for a long time. Gearbox Software has provided a handy list of the enemies and what they will award, let’s check it out.

  • Rakkman – Night Flyer, Legendary Pistol
  • El Dragon Jr – Unleash the Dragon, Legendary Artifact
  • Road Dog – Redline, Legendary Shotgun
  • IndoTyrant – Random Customization
  • Force Troopers – Random Legendary class mods
  • Demoskaggon – Random Legendary Shield
  • The Unstoppable – Band of Sytorak, Legendary Shield
  • Thunk & Sloth – It’s Piss, Legendary Grenade Mod
  • Maxitrillion – The Horizon, Legendary Shotgun
  • Borman Nates – Psycho Stabber, Legendary Pistol
  • Princess Tarantella II – Hive, Legendary Rocket Launcher
  • Mother of Grogans – Random Legendary Artifacts
  • Red Jabber – Random Legendary Grenade Mod
  • Urist McEnforcer – Masterwork Crossbow, Legendary Sniper Rifle

Loot is at the core of Borderlands 3, and seeing events that bring the focus back to that is really nice to see. I’ve not been too concerned about gathering Legendary loot just yet in Borderlands 3, but I am now starting to need some more powerful gear in order to take down some of the tougher encounters in the game.

Personally I’m heading for the Urist McEnforcer, because I really want a Masterwork Crossbow. I also tend to lean more towards ranged weapons, so a Legendary Sniper Rifle would also suit me fine. Let me know what enemy you’re heading for, and why you want that loot, in the comments.
